    Placebo Press is entirely not-for-profit and does not offer an expedited review process.

  • Are there certain themes that authors need to address in their poetry?

    Placebo Press does not ask authors to address certain themes in their poetry.

  • Does Placebo Press accept previously published poetry?

    Placebo Press only accepts previously unpublished work, which includes work posted on social media or blogs. If this work is accepted, we will ask that you remove those posts prior to publication.

  • Do authors need to submit proof of employment or enrollment?

    Integrity is a core tenet of the practice of medicine. Placebo Press does not require proof of employment or enrollment.

  • When does Placebo Press accept submissions and publish issues?

    Placebo Press publishes annually. The current submission deadline will always be posted on the Welcome page.

  • Does Placebo Press accept submissions via Submittable?

    Placebo Press only accepts submissions via e-mails to placebopresssubmissions@gmail.com
